Peninsula Clean Energy understands that our goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions depends on educating the next generation of energy and environmental leaders. We support programs that promote professional development for educators and enhance learning experiences for students at public schools and community colleges in San Mateo County.

Youth Climate Ambassadors

Peninsula Clean Energy provides annual funding for this youth leadership program for high school students in San Mateo County.

San Mateo County Community College Partnership

Our funding provides paid internships to community college students to develop interactive exhibits focused on clean energy, electrification, and related careers.

Support for Teachers

We help teachers educate students about clean energy and climate action. Our funding supports a year-long professional fellowship as well as curriculum workshops.

Green Career Awareness

Middle and high school students learn about clean energy careers through experiential field trips and solutions-based curricula.
