In 2015, every city council member in San Mateo County voted to form a new public agency to better serve our community. The City of Los Banos also voted to join us in 2020. Thank you for creating Peninsula Clean Energy. Now we’re giving back.

Investing in Los Banos & San Mateo County

Peninsula Clean Energy has been serving San Mateo County since 2017 and began serving Los Banos in 2022. From lower electricity rates and helpful rebates to community investments like solar installations, we’re building a resilient, affordable, and low-carbon future for our communities. Educating Future Leaders

Bringing clean energy to schools

Together with local schools, we’re inspiring students to lead in sustainability through hands-on science programs and renewable energy education. Our programs empower young leaders in San Mateo County and Los Banos to envision and create a brighter, cleaner tomorrow.

Community-Based Organizations

Extending our reach with the help of trusted, local partners

Through our Community Outreach Grant Program, we partner with local non-profit organizations to raise awareness of Peninsula Clean Energy’s programs and benefits, particularly among underserved communities in San Mateo County and Los Banos. These grants invest money back into our community to support projects that advance clean energy knowledge, encourage sustainable actions, and enable local voices to drive positive change with us.
