Upgrading to ECO100 is a powerful action you can take that is good for the environment, and it's easy!
It’s an easy and cost-effective way to go 100% renewable. ECO100 rates are just 1 cent per kilowatt hour more than ECOplus rates, increasing to 1.5 cents per kilowatt hour on January 1, 2025. For the average household, this premium is only about $4-5 more per month, or $6-7 more per month beginning in 2025.

For comparison, the current average mix of resources supplying PG&E includes: Coal (0.0%), Nuclear (49.3%), Oil (0.0 %), Natural Gas (4.8%), Hydroelectric (7.6 %), Eligible Renewable (38.3%) and Other (0.0%). This resource mix was prepared in accordance with California Energy Commission Power Source Disclosure for 2022.
The average home in San Mateo County uses 405 kWh per month. This is based on a representative 12-month billing history for all customers on the E-TOU-C rate schedule for PG&E and Peninsula Clean Energy’s published rates as of March, 2024.
